Volunteer Opportunity: Help Preserve Tuttle's History!

The Tuttle Historical Society is in need of volunteers to assist with registering the Chincey Ross Collection into PastPerfect museum software. This collection, donated by the Ross family, comprises over 500 items, including photos, memorabilia, and artifacts belonging to Thelma “Chincie” Ross.

Chincie Ross, a respected member of the community, served as a code talker administrator during World War II, processing Navajo Marine recruits chosen to serve as code talkers. These code talkers played a vital role in the victories of the United States and its allies during WWI and WWII. Chincie later became Tuttle's town historian, the first librarian, and took care of Silver City Cemetery.
