Tuttle Historical Society - Museum
The Tuttle Historical Society was created in 2019 with one clear goal—to find a place where we could create a museum and preserve the history of our community. Working alongside the City of Tuttle, we set out to save the Old Station, originally built in 1921 by J.B. Sloan. At the time, the building was in serious disrepair and in need of major renovation—but we saw its potential and the history it held.
Through dedicated fundraising and community support, we began the work of revitalizing this historic building. The structure was completely gutted to make way for brand-new new windows, a new roof, electrical and plumbing systems, and modern HVAC-all essential steps in bringing new life to a space more than a century old.
Phase 1 now complete, the restoration of this 100-year-old landmark stands as a testament to the passion and resilience of our community. This project has truly been a labor of love, and we are thrilled to open its doors as our very first museum.
But we’re not finished yet—we are now working to fill the building with the rich history of Tuttle and the surrounding area. Every story, photograph, and artifact helps bring our community’s past to life.
Every improvement brings us closer to creating a space where Tuttle’s stories can be preserved and shared for generations to come.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey so far. Your support is helping us turn history into something that
can be experienced and remembered.
